uKit is a solution for users looking to launch a stunning website for their business.
Using predefined options, ukit reviews makes it possible to build an appealing website in 1-2 hours.
They claim that "anything is possible", but is this really the case?
A Quick Peek into uKit
uKit provides 200+ templates, each one is fully-customizable with a simple drag and drop editor. uKit has split its dashboard into 3 sections: site pages, builder, and design.
The design section lets you choose a color scheme, as well as select a background color or image. You can also use two different fonts for the text on your website.
My favorite feature is the builder section. Unlike most other website builders that claim to have a simple drag and drop feature, uKit actually has one. Blocks are dragged to form your website, and then widgets are stacked up to build your content - it is that simple.
uKit also allows you to create blogs and landing pages. They have a news widget which allows users to schedule publications - I'm sure that bloggers, in particular, will see the use in this feature.
The uKit templates work great for landing pages - they are wide-screen and look visually appealing. Not to mention the fact that there is also an eCommerce feature, but only for upgraded accounts.
uKit offers its clients three subscription options: monthly, annually, or every two years. If you want to save money, it's best to choose the longer subscription - as you can save 30%.
For some bizarre reason, the uKit website shows 3 different prices for each plan. For example, uKit's pricing section states 3 different prices for the Premium plan. One shows $4 per month, one shows $3.50 per month, and after signing in, packages are then priced at $4.25.
Comparing these prices was extremely frustrating, so I went with the first price on their website, which was $4 to $12 per month, depending on which package you choose.
The four packages that uKit offers are all very similar - which is disappointing, to say the least.
However, you have to praise their premium package. Priced at only $4.00 per month, it includes unlimited disk space, 400+ templates, a custom domain, and 24/7 support.
For small businesses, I would recommend the pro plan priced at $12.00 month-to-month. You have access to eCommerce, custom code and color schemes, live chat, and unlimited storage.
As an added note: both the premium and eCommerce plans are available on a 14-day free trial.
